Cold atoms coupled to nanophotonic structures is an exciting platform for quantum science enabling fundamentally new capabilities and opening new avenues for studying fundamental science. Great progress has been made towards deterministically coupling and controlling individual atoms close to such structure, yet many challenges (i.e. opportunities) remain. These are best faced as a community. In this workshop/retreat we want to bring the community together and have open discussions about the technical challenges, the creative solutions, and the great opportunities of coupling atoms to nanophotonics.
This workshop will take place in a 400 year old Monastery in the mountains close to Innsbruck. In a retreat style setting we will have a mix of invited talks, breakout sessions, open discussions, and poster sessions.
