Description
This study presents an EOM-free method for generating 2-photon states using stimulated Two Photon Excitation (sTPE) in quantum dots. Following biexciton state generation, a second laser pulse (stimulation) stimulates the biexciton to the exciton state, with emission polarization controlled by this stimulation pulse. Sequential horizontal (H) and vertical (V) stimulation laser pulses result in a controlled H-V-H-V emission sequence of exciton single photons. Our results offers a simplified and cost-effective approach for multiphoton state generation in quantum optics capable of passively generating 2-photon states or capable of being implemented in any previous quantum dot multi-photon generation to double their maximum frequency of operation.
